Redwood MedNet was established in 2005 by health care providers at hospitals, private practices, community clinics and public health in Mendocino, Lake and Sonoma Counties. Our proven and affordable health information exchange (HIE) services are now available to large and small health care sites throughout Northern California.

Redwood MedNet was incorporated in August 2005 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Redwood MedNet launched commercial electronic clinical data delivery services in April 2008 with laboratory test results delivered from Healdsburg District Hospital, a critical access hospital, to Alliance Medical Center, an FQHC. In 2013 hundreds of healthcare providers working at dozens of healthcare facilities in a six county region of Northern California participate in the HIE services and trust community operated by Redwood MedNet.
