Mendocino, Lake and Sonoma Counties

To collaborate with regional, State and Federal health information technology initiatives
WHAT IS A HEALTH
INFORMATION EXCHANGE?
A health information exchange (HIE) is a secure data service that
utilizes nationally recognized standards to provision the electronic
movement of clinical information among separate health care
organizations.
In the thinly populated 5,000 square mile Lake, Mendocino and Sonoma County region of Northern California, the Redwood MedNet HIE delivers electronic laboratory results from small rural hospitals to local health care providers.
Redwood MedNet is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in Ukiah, California. Redwood MedNet was incorporated in August 2005.
