HIE Expansion
Redwood MedNet HIE services are expanding to new data types, new facilities and new communities north, south and east of our home base in Mendocino and Sonoma counties. Some hightlights of the expansion are listed below.

  1. eOrders Project
  2. Cal eConnect HIE Expansion Grant
  3. Cal eConnect Direct Messaging
  4. Model eHealth Community

eOrders Project
In our rural North Coast region a majority of outpatient laboratory tests are performed by local hospital laboratories. However, it can be quite challenging for small hospitals with limited IT resources to enable their laboratories to accept electronic orders from newly installed local outpatient EHRs. Redwood MedNet solves this problem with a comprehensive set of technology tools combined with the project management skills to provision electronic ordering. The eOrders project is budgeted at $88,000 and funded by a local foundation. The pilot site for the eOrders Project is Healdsburg District Hospital. If your hospital needs to add electronic orders to stay competitive as local outpatient practices adopt EHR, then contact Redwood MedNet for information on how to launch an affordable eOrders project in your community.

The eOrders funding is provided by the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Sonoma County.
